Foundational Pillars

The pillars are more than categories of belief. They are the theological framework that explains how God’s truth is revealed, reality is interpreted according to God’s truth, interpretation shapes what people believe, those beliefs form people, and that formation becomes embodied as cultural witness.

The Prophetic Gospel of Christ reveals God’s truth and establishes God’s truth as the governing authority.

The Black Prophetic Imagination interprets reality according to God’s truth from the social location of Black life.

Prophetic Hip-Hop Theory explains how interpretations of reality governed by God’s truth shape what people believe, how those beliefs form people, and how that formation is culturally embodied as cultural witness through identity, authenticity, testimony, and creativity.

Together, they cultivate a people who discover God’s truth, interpret reality according to God’s truth, embody that truth as cultural witness, and participate in God’s work of restoration.

We believe:
