About Enth Church
Who We Are
Grounded in the Prophetic Gospel of Christ, shaped by the Black Prophetic Imagination, and embodied through Prophetic Hip-Hop Theory, Enth Church lives at the intersection of race, faith, hip-hop, and justice.
For us, race, faith, hip-hop, and justice are not merely cultural or political categories. They shape how people experience reality, interpret what they experience, and are formed by those interpretations.
We believe God's truth is for everyone, that people encounter God from particular social locations, and that God forms us into the kind of people we were created to be.
Rooted in the witness of John, the teachings of Jesus, and the restorative vision of Isaiah, we help people discover God's truth, interpret reality in light of His revelation, and faithfully embody that truth in everyday life.
We are building a Beloved Community rooted in authenticity and introspection, and grounded in Kingdom righteousness and justice for all people.

Enth Church is shaped by three foundational pillars that guide how we understand God, interpret reality, and engage the world.

- Prophetic: The Prophetic Gospel of Christ
This is our source of truth. The Prophetic Gospel of Christ reveals reality as God sees it, exposes distortion, and calls people into alignment with God's work of restoration. - Purposed: The Black Prophetic Imagination
This is our interpretive sensibility. Shaped by the social location of Black life, it helps us interpret reality in light of God's work of restoration and imagine what becomes possible when truth, rather than distortion, forms the future. - Poetic: Prophetic Hip-Hop Theory
This is our cultural embodiment. It shapes how we embody, communicate, and bear witness to God's truth through identity, authenticity, testimony, creativity, and lived experience.
Together, these three pillars shape how we discover God's truth, interpret reality, and embody faithful living in the world.
What We Believe
We believe God's truth originates with Him. He reveals that truth through Scripture, fully in Jesus, and by the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.
We believe God's truth exposes distortion, calls people into alignment, forms people into the image of Jesus, and restores what has been broken.
We believe God's Kingdom becomes visible wherever lives, relationships, communities, and cultures are being restored according to God's character and purposes.
Our Theology
Our ministry's theological architecture is rooted in the witness of John, the teachings of Jesus, and the restorative vision of Isaiah.
Together, they reveal God's truth, call people into Kingdom formation, and help us imagine what becomes possible in the midst of suffering and despair.
We understand the Christian life as a journey of revelation, alignment, formation, transformation, and restoration.
The prophetic promise to "see a mighty flood of justice, an endless river of righteous living" continues to shape our hope for God's restorative work in the world. Amos 5:24 NLT
Our Lens
Social location is the position and context through which people experience reality.
Interpretive sensibility is how people make sense of the reality they experience.
Enth Church understands Blackness as the social location from which God has formed a prophetic witness that opens up possibility for all people.
The Black Prophetic Imagination is the interpretive sensibility that has emerged from that social location. It shapes how we interpret reality in light of God's revelation and restorative work.
Blackness is our lens, not our limit.
Our Cultural Expression
Our ministry lives at the intersection of race, faith, hip-hop, and justice.
Prophetic Hip-Hop Theory shapes how we embody, communicate, and bear witness to God's truth through identity, authenticity, testimony, creativity, and lived experience.
We believe culture can become a faithful language for proclaiming God's truth, cultivating hope, and participating in God's restoration.
Our Theological Lineage
Our theological lineage includes the biblical prophets and the generations of faithful witnesses who carried that prophetic tradition into every age.
We draw from the prophetic witness of the historical Black Church, the freedom songs of the enslaved, Black Liberation Theology, and prophetic voices such as James Cone, Gustavo Gutiérrez, Kelly Brown Douglas, and Delores S. Williams. Each helps us recognize different dimensions of God's justice, restoration, hope, and human dignity.
We also recognize the witness of movements that embodied faith through courageous action, including the struggle against apartheid, Latin American base communities, and urban ministry movements throughout the United States.
These traditions remind us that God continues to form people within history, culture, and community for the sake of restoration.
Our Commitment
We are committed to cultivating a Beloved Community where people discover God's truth, grow into spiritual maturity, embody Kingdom righteousness, and participate in God's restoration of people, communities, and culture.
We believe restoration remains possible because God is still revealing truth, forming people, and making all things new.
Enth Church is the operating name for The Cultural Soul Project, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every tax-deductible gift fuels our work of formation, creativity, and justice as we build the Beloved Community and spread joy to the Enth degree.
